Energy Rating Calculations

We provide energy rating calculations for residential (SAP) and commercial (SBEM) properties within the new build sector to satisfy Part L1A & L2A of The Building Regulations. We also provide a similar service for existing dwellings undergoing an extension, existing commercial buildings and properties undergoing a ‘Change of Use’ status.

Air Pressure Testing

We provide ATTMA certified air permeability testing for both residential and commercial sectors of the new build construction market. We also offer various other related services such as design drawing reviews, site inspections, pre-testing, smoke testing and general consultancy advice.

Code Assessing

We provide licensed Code for Sustainable Homes assessments and certification for new residential dwellings. We also offer various other related services such as Part G Water Calculators, Daylighting Calculations, Home User Guides and general Code advice.

Low Energy Sustainable Building Design

We provide design advice from concept stage through to detailed calculation and analysis of individual thermal bridging details. We have Passivhaus Consultant and CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant members of staff who can offer consultancy advice and support on the challenges faced by Low Energy and Sustainable building design.

Thermographic Surveys

We provide infrared building surveys and reports to verify the thermal continuity within buildings using thermal imaging cameras. Surveys are carried out by Level 3 Thermographers. Whilst not a Building Regulation requirement, building thermographic surveys are often requested for ‘peace of mind’, as part of a trouble-shooting exercise or for a BREEAM credit.

Thermal Bridging Analysis

We provide 2D and 3D non-linear thermal bridging calculations and analysis using sophisticated thermal modelling software. Improving thermal bridging can often be a cost-effective way of reducing a building’s carbon emissions and mitigating cold bridging and condensation risks.
